About Darrell Mugford

My background is in electrical engineering where I worked as a fully qualified electrician for over a decade. I then transitioned into telecoms where I have worked for 24 years, last 8 years untilising my skills within a B/O capacity in various roles and projects, project deployment and OTD delivery managerial roles, on the 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks for organisations including Nokia and Ericsson, providing support for O2, Orange, T Mobile, and Vodafone networks. In addition, I have worked for Airwave on a government project for the fire services in Scotland, Wales and England. My forte and main area of enjoyment within the telecoms industry is gating and planning. I view this as an area of strength within my varied skillset. I am a hard-working, reliable person who works well independently and as part of a team. I consider myself to be a practically-minded person who is a team player, and can develop good rapport with work colleagues, will help co-workers when needed, and am an honest person with integrity.
