Manager of environmental permitting for renewable energy projects throughout Dominion Energy. Dominion has just completed installation of the first offshore wind in US waters, with 2.6 GW of additional power to begin installation in 2024. Dominion is also working with dairy and swine producers nationwide to capture methane emissions and turn that product into renewable natural gas. Dominion has pledged to become carbon neutral by 2050, and the projects we are permitting today will take us a long way on that path. Previously at Dominion, I led a group supporting electric generation in South Carolina. We reached a historic long term agreement with regulators and NGOs to close coal ash ponds by removal while maximizing the beneficial reuse of coal combustion residuals. Other projects included decommissioning of coal-fired facilities and re-fueling of other facilites with natural gas. Also developed strategies for compliance with new and proposed EPA rules, including Mercury and Air Toxics (MATS), fish survivability at cooling water intakes (316b), and treatment of waters from coal fired facilities. During my career at DE, I also managed environmental compliance and new project permitting for natural gas transmission & distribution units at SCE & G and Public Service Co. of North Carolina (PSNC).
