About Darren Callaghan

I have been working since I was 14. Responsibility and hard work were skills my parents wanted me to learn early. My time working in a kitchen washing dishes and cooking food really gave me a strong foundation. It’s not easy work. It’s long hours, and minim wage pay. I always find myself looking back to these times and how this helped prepare me for post secondary schooling, and later a career. I’ve been at ArcelorMittal Dofasco for 12 years this past spring. During my career, I’ve worked hard to develop a strong image and reputation rooted in hard work, respect, and honesty. I have held my current role at ArcelorMittal Dofasco as a Team Leader in our Supply Chain Department since 2021. Managing people and driving work/improvement through others is a unique challenge - especially these last couple of years. It’s been a great opportunity for me and I am constantly learning more about what it means to be a leader. I am always looking to take the next step in my career. I aspire to continue to work my way up the corporate ladder and test my potential in any roles or challenges I encounter.
