About Darren Clancy

As a Project Manager with TLI Group, I’m currently leading elements of the National Broadband Ireland (NBI) project, delivering high-speed fibre broadband to some of the most rural and underserved areas in Ireland. To date, I’ve overseen the handover of homes to the client, including buildouts in some of the country’s most challenging terrain, such as the Black Valley. My career began in civil engineering, working as a Site Engineer on various infrastructure projects across Tralee (Co. Kerry) and Shannon (Co. Clare). I later transitioned into telecoms, working first as a Design Engineer and then as a Junior Project Manager on the SIRO FTTH rollout. I hold an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering Management from Limerick Institute of Technology, where I was awarded the Chartered Institute of Building Award for Excellence in my final year. Additional qualifications include- Higher Certificate in BIM – Building CAD with Revit Architecture (Distinction)- Project Management (Distinction)- MSIC (Distinction) With a strong foundation in engineering, project delivery, and telecoms infrastructure, I’m passionate about delivering large-scale utility and telecoms projects that have a lasting impact.
