Material Scientist with broad understanding of polymers, additives, flame retardants, mixing processes and profile extrusions (primarily Wire & Cable for specialist applications) and electron beam cross-linking. High familiarity with EU and Worldwide regulations and legislations regarding chemicals and restrictions on use Was involved with the early deployment of the Automotive IMDS system (value stream material declarations) becoming a regular contributor to it's early evolution from a lower tier manufacturers perspective, including systems testing and involved with debates on material restrictions and exemptions, both online and with Auto OEM's. Dedicated mentor and trainer within our own Material Science business, heavily involved with internship programmes and people development. Specialties: Speciality W&C development, e-beam cross-linking, Twin-screw compounding / screw design of high performance materials.
