About Darren Harper

Darren Harper is an Indigenous member of Red Sucker Lake Anisininew Nation and is an accomplished entrepreneur, senior level executive manager, board member and lifelong enthusiast of bringing people together. His areas of focus as a consultant are constructing opportunities, strategic thinking, protocol and cultural awareness, negotiations, and finding the zone of possible agreements with many resource, energy, and linear projects, throughout Canada for Indigenous communities. Darren has a layered belief of developing relationships and trust first before any project advances. This grounded approach has provided Darren to think of people first and the business second, which gives an honest and transparent approach to owning his own companies over the past 15+ years. His visionary perspective has earned him the opportunities to work across the globe, attend United Nations permanent forums and becoming a member of the UN Economic & Social Council. As an advisor and delegate, Darren represented Indigenous peoples at a sacred and historic event during the Papel visit at the Vatican, in Rome, Italy. When he isn’t working, Darren spends time with his family thinking of news ways to enjoy nature and coach his kids’ sports teams. As a father of 3 young boys, the goal is to be inclusive of the same drive and passion to them that he has developed in his professional career.
