About Darren Hill

For the past two decades I’ve been working in the leadership and culture space. It’s not just my job, it’s my fascination. I’m very lucky to do what I love.As a Behavioural Scientist and co-founder of Pragmatic Thinking (a Behaviour and Motivation Strategy company) I'm enormously grateful to work with ambitious organisations - from not-for-profits through to Fortune 500 and ASX top 200 companies - to drive contemporary work practices rather than rehashing tired old guff that no one believes, much less cares about.Our work is grounded in practice and results that are evident in both our client's successes and our own business performance. I've also penned a few books - maybe you've got one (along with my mum)- spoken at a conga line of conferences and had more coffees with well-meaning executives than hot showers. Along the way I've been inducted into the Professional Speaker's Association Hall of Fame but I'm still waiting on the golden key to the secret bathroom. All that said, I'm constantly reminded (and rarely surprised) how little I know about most things. For every area of deep expertise I have, I constantly find new ground to explore, and there are horizons beckoning for the things I have little knowledge of. But enough about me and my shortcomings. Heck. We could be here all day.What lights me up more than anything else is a person of influence in an organisation willing to break new ground, to challenge the status quo, and create long-term positive change.
