About Darren Long

I am a hospital director of a busy multidisciplinary hospital where I oversee a busy caseload of oncology and internal medicine cases as head of the ever increasing team which consists of both advanced practitioners and boarded specialists We focus on remaining up to date on current advances in the field and pride ourselves in investing in equipment and our team in order to provide the best care possible. I am trained in, and have performed, various interventional radiological procedures including intrahepatic shunt embolisation and am keen on continuing to progress in this discipline. I established the IGEA electrochemotherapy unit at Bridge referrals which has helped drive a complementary treatment modality for oncology patients presenting to us and we aim to continue to expand our services as well as introducing the use of cancer immunotherapy to our services. Currently, I am working towards a European masters in veterinary oncology which has enabled establishment of a network of colleagues from around the globe and it is great to continue making connections with other professionals.
