Physical Therapist Assistant with more than a decade of experience in diverse settings, currently licensed in Oklahoma, formerly licensed in Missouri, Louisiana and Colorado. I am happily more than two years into a full-time position with a staffing agency serving the greater OKC metro area. I have worked in a wide variety of settings, including as a civilian contract PTA at the US Naval Hospital on Okinawa, Japan, where my focus was to help the troops and their dependents in a speedy return to full activity in the athletic lifestyle to which they are accustomed. I also have experience in outpatient, home health, SNF, inpatient rehab and acute care settings, as well as a multicultural/multilingual background. Specialties: PNF, Postural Respiration, Mac- and PC-based computer skills, Rehab Optima, Meditech GEMS, AHLTA, CHCS-I, Cypress therapy management software, BioEx Exercise Pro software, English as first language, working proficiency in German, and study in Spanish, Swedish, Germanic languages and limited Japanese. In my free time I enjoy travel, camping, archery, gardening and beekeeping, and I have volunteered countless hours of my time to the Society for Creative Anachronism, a 501(c)(3) educational organization whose focus is on learning about medieval material culture by recreating it by hand.
