About Darren Shaw

I am a people's person. I have a servant's heart, which comes from my involvement in my College campus Ministry. I have held leadership positions at the ministry in the Media and Communications Outreach team. Since the summer of 2014, I have been working at a camp for individuals with Special needs or Disabilities, called Camp Spearhead. During my summers working at the camp, I found a passion and love in caring for these individuals. I strive for excellence and teamwork, and I love constructive criticism. I have 5+ years of experience working in special education as a TA in a behavioral support classroom. 3+ years of experience as a PCT on a medical/surgical unit. Currently I am working as an LPN on a Med/surg unit at Piedmont Medical Center, while pursuing RN Certification and degree. I plan to continue my education and further pursue advanced degrees in healthcare as I progress in my career. I strive to live my life in the words written in 1 Peter 5:6-11. Which states,"Humble yourselves, therefore under the mighty hand of God, that in due time he shall lift you up. Cast upon him all your anxieties because he cares for you. Be self controlled, and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist Him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. To Him be the power for ever and ever, Amen."
