About Darrien Bailey

Ever since I could remember I've always wanted to create. Whether it was making art or facilitating productions with my family, creating has always defined who I am and what I do. This desire to create has resulted in the work I’ve done and am currently doing. Through my journey of creation I have acquired an undergraduate degree (Majoring in History/ Minoring in Art) at St. Andrew University (NC), a Masters in Public History at UNCW, and a Masters in Art & Design at NC State University. Experiences that have resulted in the productions of graphic novel courses and exhibits, animated oral histories, AR & VR projects, community events, mini-documentaries and a host of other creative experiences. Currently, I am a library specialist at NC State University that specializes in content creation to help students with their research and creative aspirations. I am also a creator of my own company DB-Creates (LLC) that produces video/animation projects and educational events.
