I have worked almost exclusively in retail. Beginning originally as a student working in Safeway’s, then moving to 6 years Management career with Sainsbury’s. After this I moved to a more sales & KPI focused area with The Link (DSG). Now gone they were the communications arm of DSG. I spent 7 years with the group enjoying huge success along the way. This culminated with being the Branch & Cluster Manager of the flagship store at Bluewater. As Mobile retail slowed I then moved more into the B2B arena, whilst still operating in a retail store with Evolve Telecom. I continued this with a short stint of being self-employed selling business leads into Telecoms companies. I then returned to retail as a Senior Branch Manager with an o2 franchise. This was very successful, but short lived as the company was sold. I then joined Excalibur as Account Manager in a pure B2B arena. I soon became the branch manager running a field /account manager team. Again a short lived but successful period in a Sony Centre followed. Unfortunately the company went into liquidation unable to survive the huge growth of the internet. This then lead me to CSL/Sofaworks/Sofology. I found that I loved furniture retail and have been there ever since. After Sofology I moved to OFL, and became a Sales Manager, for some time the only one holding that job title. I worked in Canterbury, Romford, and Thurrock. I am now a Sales Manager in Furniture Village. I started in the Chelmsford store and then moved to Orpington.
