I'm a full-stack web developer with a background in art, design, and communication. I particularly love JavaScript and React. Currently- Continuing to learn TypeScript and React Native - Tinkering with Redacted (https://nytimes-redacted.herokuapp.com), a word puzzle app in early stage development - Writing a personal biography about my family's immigration story and my own journey from the San Francisco Bay Area to Beijing and then to Berlin Tech Stack- JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, SQL - React, Vue.js, Handlebars, jQuery, Node.js, Express, Axios, Redux, Socket.io - PostgreSQL - Git, GitHub, AWS, Heroku Previously- I was the Press and Publications Manager at Ai Weiwei Studio. I lead research, editing, and production of copy across exhibitions, publications, films, essays, and social media. Produced on average five major publications each year, including museum catalogs and monographs- Ai was a prolific writer and we worked on a large number of pieces published in the New York Times, the Guardian, the Atlantic, amongst other eminent publications- I created 5.12.2018 (http://5122018.com) to archive all of Ai’s activities surrounding the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake. It completely documents all research materials, films, artworks, and media generated around this topic. This project was my first attempt at web development- At the peak of Covid transmissions in 2020, I was the project lead on an initiative titled Ai Weiwei MASK that sought to raise money for the most vulnerable. Through a partnership with eBay, the project raised $1.4 million for Doctors Without Borders, Human Rights Watch, and Refugees International.
