About Darryl Mydat

An experienced professional with a wealth of expertise in the recruitment industry. Currently the owner and CEO at the London Teaching Pool Ltd; a recruitment consultancy supplying specialist Education, Medical and Care professionals to both public & private sectors as well at supporting schools through TLTP School Support Services. Prior to this, I successfully worked for Amstrad Plc for 10 years, holding various Management positions and under the guidance of a commercially savvy figure as Lord Sugar, it gave me the confidence I needed to begin my own ventures. In 1996 I joined a family business in the recruitment sector based in the City of London. After two years I then formed along with a business partner my own education recruitment business; Academics Limited. We recorded amazing growth and won the Stoy Hayward Company of the Year award. In 2006 I sold my stake in Academics Limited and launched my own company. The London Teaching Pool (TLTP) commenced trading in April 2006 and initially concentrated its efforts on the provision of supply staff for the education sector. Encouraged by its year-on-year growth, in September 2008 we launched TLTP Medical. This is a division specialising in the supply of allied health professionals to the NHS and private sector. TLTP Medical have won the LPP, CCS and Health Trust Europe Frameworks. Meanwhile the educational recruitment sector continues to flourish and, in a recent REC audit, TLTP achieved 100% to retain its coveted REC Audited Award, the gold standard in safeguarding.
