Background

About Darryl Parker

I have had the honor of serving as the Coordinator of Cultural Diversity at Hazard Community and Technical College, recruitment specialist as well as social media student liaison in the past. Presently, I am an active member of numerous boards of directors and organizations throughout Kentucky. One of my fundamental beliefs is that "when you reach one; you teach one." I am passionate about imparting knowledge to others whenever an opportunity presents itself. I also believe that leading by example is crucial, as it inspires others to follow suit. When I first relocated to Eastern Kentucky, I was initially apprehensive about meeting new people. However, I was determined to contribute positively to my community. To achieve this, I decided to become an active community member, leader, role model, and advocate for higher education. Although I face challenges and obstacles along the way, I remain determined to make a positive impact. I believe everything is small steps to a giant and there is always a greater goal to achieve. So I focus on moving forward and inspire others to join me in making a positive difference in our community.
