Recently retired from Pembroke School, and subsequently a short 1 term contract at Westminster School, where I was managing a vibrant music department in a large comprehensive private school. Responsible for Music Curriculum from 3yo - Senior Yr 12 students. The delivery of over 500 instrumental music lessons each week by 40 hourly paid staff teaching many different instruments. The rehearsing and development of a comprehensive and diverse co curricular ensemble program of choirs, orchestra, concert band, big bands and a series of small chamber ensembles. String, percussion, woodwind and Rock bands. I have also worked closely with the SACE Board of SA in the design and assessment of music subjects in SA, and for 15 years I was the Chief Assessor for all Music Performance Subjects. This included contributing to the writing of new courses and the development of assessments of subjects and the training of panels of assessors.
