About Darshan Gala

Currently I am freelancing as an interior designer, wherein I manage a team of designers and coordinate with various consultants and work streams under demanding deadlines. I have not only contributed to the designing and execution of numerous residential and commercial (shops, offices, showrooms, etc.) interior spaces but also various architectural projects which includes Villa Scheme Design for Della Adventure & Resorts Pvt. Ltd. Through these and other projects detailed in my resume I am experienced with building materials, sustainability techniques, site execution and construction administration. As a result of my recent studies and my industry experience, I am a confident user of design and management software including AutoCAD, AutoCAD-3D, Sketchup + vray, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw and Microsoft Office. In addition, while undertaking the Bachelor of Architecture at Rizvi College of Architecture, Mumbai, I showed I have motivation and a passion for innovative design solutions, imaginative and creative thinking, understanding of history, cultural and concerns, ability to analyse and critically assess problems, ability to see the big picture as well as giving attention to the smallest detail, ability to communicate effectively. These qualities have been proven through achieving distinction results for Architecture Studio, Structures and Services and Interior Design. Throughout my studies I have developed skills for research, design strategy and a high capacity for aesthetic resolution. To compliment these technical skills, I have participated in international competitions like NASA (National Association of Students of Architecture) to expand my professional capabilities. In addition, I have highly effective time management skills as demonstrated by my ability to balance full time study and employment. I have had a broad range of experience through part-time work which included being a core faculty teacher in Rizvi College of Architecture, Mumbai and live documentation of World Heritage sites like EROS Cinema, Churchgate, Shree Siddhivinayak Temple, Prabhadevi, Mumbai. Throughout all of these roles, client satisfaction, team building and conflict management have been major components and I have consistently demonstrated the ability to interact with a wide variety of people of different ages and backgrounds
