About Darshan Jayapalan

Darshan is a Project Manager/Construction Manager for the Energy & Power team in Texas, USA, and has over 12 years of experience in project management, engineering management, construction management and maintenance management. Darshan’s career began in 2012 at Western Michigan University where he did R&D for tractor trailers using wind tunnel testing and 3D modelling. Darshan then spent the next few years of his career as an executive mechanical engineer before moving to the power & energy industry. Darshan has recently fulfilled roles as project manager, deputy project manager, project engineer, project controller and design review manager to deliver complex power projects for independent power providers (IPP), private corporations and government bodies in Asia. Darshan’s diverse project experience includes industrial facility optimizations, feasibility studies, engineering management, and construction supervision of various power plants(combined cycle power plants, coal fired power plants, hydroelectric power plants, solar plants, and other industrial facilities). Darshan was the Team Leader and Section Manager for the Malaysian thermal generation team from 2021-2023 where he managed and participated in multiple people leadership and business leadership efforts to grow the Energy and Power business in Asia. Currently in a Project Management/Construction Management role, Darshan supports Energy & Power team to lead, manage, review, and support various engineering and construction projects to ensure compliance to code, regulations, safety requirements, project schedule, project budget along with other best engineering/construction practices.
