Experienced GRC professional with 7 years of experience with a strong background in internal audit, designing and operationalizing enterprise-wide risk and internal control frameworks across complex, global environments. I work within the Maersk’s GRC function (second line of defence) where I support the business in proactively identifying key risks, strengthening control design, and embedding risk awareness into core processes. My role bridges strategy, compliance, and execution by enabling business teams to establish and maintain a resilient control environment. Key focus areas include: • Leading risk assessments and driving the implementation of fit-for-purpose controls. • Collaborating with process owners to integrate risk management into operations. • Reporting control effectiveness and providing actionable insights to leadership. • Enabling automation, standardization, and platform-enabled controls. • Supporting global initiatives related to compliance, fraud prevention, and governance. Previously, I worked with KPMG (Risk Consulting), where I led and supported internal audit and SoX assignments across diverse industries including Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining, Heavy equipment Manufacturing, FMCG, and Dairy. Backed by experience in both Big 4 and industry, I bring a structured, analytical mindset and a collaborative approach to managing risk ensuring not just compliance, but also operational efficiency and business value.
