About Darwin Cabanilla
I graduated from Aria Health School of Nursing with honors (Cum Laude) in April 2010. I am also a member of Pennsylvania State University Honor Society, Alpha Sigma Lambda. I have taken and passed my nursing board examinations on June 21, 2010. Currently, I am employed at Mercy Suburban Hospital in Norristown, PA working as a Staff Nurse and Charge Nurse at times on a Telemetry floor as well as providing preceptorship to newly graduated colleagues. In addition, I am actively involved in the Nursing Informatics Program of the institution working as a superuser and entrusted to teach my colleagues in a classroom environment and in hands-on clinical practice. In this work environment, I realized that I have a strong leaning towards care of less stable patients, which I attribute in part to my love of Nursing. It is because of these reasons that I am in search of an intensive care unit setting where the challenges are different everyday and where I could apply and sharpen my passion in Nursing.
