Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and computer- generated reports as basis for product development specifications and Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve line troubles, and provide technical information upon introduction of newly developed parts. Maintenance: Leads maintenance and plant operations for the facilities in the facility; Maintain expertise and familiarity with the operation and troubleshooting techniques of existing building systems; Works with the maintenance team to develop and implement systems to maintain records on equipment, physical plant, hazardous materials and compliance activities; Conducts routine and follow-up inspections to determine compliance with Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations, chemical and general safety standards; submits reports and makes recommendations and/or takes appropriate action to minimize potential safety, health and environmental risks; Performs general maintenance duties and scheduled preventative maintenance work on physical facilities, equipment and grounds; Maintains current knowledge of changes in provincial, federal, OHS and other safety codes and regulations as applicable; Updates Emergency Plans, and completes various emergency exercises to test the knowledge of the employees in emergency situations and the effectiveness of the various plans; Inspects buildings, grounds and equipment; oversees the preventative maintenance program; Develops and implements systems to maintain records on equipment, physical plant, hazardous materials and compliance activities; Determines immediate and long-range needs for maintenance and repair work; Schedules and coordinates work projects; inspects work in progress and upon completion for compliance with applicable local, provincial, and federal regulations. Warehouse and Production: Reporting to the Director of Operations, and working as a member of the Craft Coast Canning Leadership Team, the Warehouse Planning and Production Manager is responsible for scheduling the sales orders for production, as well as ensuring production targets are achieved. Role is to assist in developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for their department, including quality control of finished products on the sleeving line.
