My journey in the IT field spans over two decades, during which I have acquired a comprehensive set of skills ranging from Active Directory and Azure to Microsoft Office administration and network backup and recovery. Holding a First Class Honours Degree in Computing and Information Technologies, coupled with a myriad of certifications, I have continuously sought to stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices. My current role as an End-User Computer Specialist at the Royal Grammar School in Newcastle places me at the forefront of IT support, overseeing a dynamic environment with over users. My responsibilities extend to managing Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint administration, within a team of IT technical staff, and conducting investigations into potential data breaches. I've successfully working on freelance ICT projects, including entire office moves and installations for reputable organizations. Beyond the realm of IT, I have a strong passion for rugby, evidenced by my coaching qualifications and active volunteer involvement in coaching at a local club. This dual interest has allowed me to seamlessly blend my IT skills with my love for rugby, contributing to the enhancement of player development through the management of the club's website and social media pages. Importantly, my rugby coaching involvement is voluntary, reflecting my commitment to giving back to the community. Additionally, I play a role in the Scottish Rugby Qualified Programme, where I help to identify, develop, and support age-grade players residing in Northern England, contributing to their potential pursuit of professional and international Scottish rugby careers.
