About Daryl Garton

I have a demonstrated history of working in a broad range of civil construction within the NZ industry. My expertise is within the civil drainage, three waters, sub-divisional development and directional drilling field. This experience has given me the opportunity to gain and continually perfect the skills and knowledge that are required and beneficial for any associated roles. As Operations Manager for a Directional Drilling company and Project Manager in the Civil Construction industry, my project delivery and people management skills are a strength that I hold proud and will only benefit any existing team and the growth of their company and directors. I have worked extensively with councils,consultants,engineers and principal contractors to maintain relationships & to meet projected delivery timeframes for contractual works. As an Operations Manager and P/M, programming and liaising with sub-contractors is a challenge that requires the ability to be flexible yet still stay within the programme of works parameters. In my role as Superintendent/PM for a private consultancy firm I had the responsibility of undertaking construction monitoring and contract administration (MSQA) for the client as ERA. This included but not limited to - site visits, inspections, monthly meetings, writing NTC’s, processing NTE’s and approving monthly claims for payment. An added benefit is I have had time on the tools in regards to the said works so I have the practical understanding of how & why things are done a certain way, from both costing and time management, to delivering a professional completed handover.
