As a young and ambitious Manager, whilst attending a conference, a statement made by Jan Carlzon (SAS, CEO) really resonated with me; “You will only truly succeed if you get out of your comfort zone”. Carlzon’s insights of managing people and customer management have had a considerable impact on me. These insights are the platform from which I make decisions throughout my role and my career. Early in my career, I quickly realised that motivating and developing others ensured their success and ultimately mine. As such, building successful teams was a defining point in my commercial career. I applied the customer centric approach, and pushed myself well outside of my comfort zone, with relocations, new roles in new industries, and completing a Post Graduate degree in Innovation and Change. Taking Jan’s advice to heart in the mid 90’s I made the significant transition from a successful Commercial career into Management Consulting. My passion to create success for businesses through the development of talent strategies was an exciting day to day reality. Making the most of the talent within businesses and working with individuals to maximise business results, is where I thrive. With 25 years in the sector, my passion is to help people and businesses realise their potential and align to new directions and change by creating and adapting people based strategies that deliver results. This translates to my role, where we continue to assist businesses and individuals in a broad range of markets and organisational situations around the world, creating personal success in the careers at all levels as a coach, mentor, and trusted advisor.
