About Daryl Lee

As a Mechatronics Engineer at Roboworks, I design and develop innovative solutions for robotics applications in various industries. I have over a year of experience in embedded systems, Robot Operating System (ROS), and MATLAB, and I have contributed to several projects involving autonomous navigation, computer vision, and machine learning. I am also a Casual Academic at UNSW, where I teach and mentor students in robotics courses, such as Robotics Project, Robotics Software Architecture, and Introduction to Engineering Design. Additionally, I am the Perception Lead Engineer at UNSW Redback Racing, a student-led team that competes in the Formula Student Driverless competition. In this role, I am responsible for the development and integration of the sensors, cameras, and algorithms that enable the autonomous vehicle to perceive and react to its environment. I am passionate about robotics and mechatronics, and I aim to use my skills and knowledge to create positive impact and value for society. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from UNSW, and I expect to graduate in Jan 2024.
