Background
About Daryl Lewis
My experience working within a brewery is opening up in the morning and checking all equipment making sure that it is safe and ready to use for the day. Throughout the day I will be brewing, racking or warehousing I will also have to take a leading role and control the brew house when needed. As it’s a family run business I will be doing all aspects of the brewery process this could also include meet the brewer at local pubs, shops and events such as the champion beer of Britain awards which I collected the award and met some very inspirational people such as Richard Westwood the managing director of Marston’s. I was in control of 500 - 750k budget which was for bulk materials such as hops, malt, glass, kegs and tankers out/in. I was also a key player at Daleside Brewery setting up a supply chain to Denmark, Sweden and Australia also with all the legal requirements with regards to labelling of bottles. I am now apart of the biggest brewing organisation in Europe, A hard working Team Leader who performs and delegates all his multiple duties in a respectful and professional manner. I have a fair and consistent approach to managing staff and possesses extensive experience of developing them. Apart from my ability to effectively lead a team, I can also motivate staff to do better, make sound decisions and work with managers and staff at all levels of responsibility. Continuous improvement of machinery (MTBA) Kaizen projects and model machine ie improvement of existing machinery which is a constant cost saving to the company which the money is used elsewhere in the brewery. Trained in Poka yoke and Ishikawa diagrams this makes me very adaptable across the TPM programmes (Total productive maintenance)
