Daryl Ray Carliles combines big city focus with southern charm, and his tenacity and knowledge continue to make him a “go-to” guy for productions on every level."-Rob King Upon making New York City my home, I started giving Film my main focus and forged a strong bond with Award-winning writer/director Gary King, I quickly covered all bases of production, from production coordinator to Assistant Director which thus led to my first venture as Producer on King’s award-winning Movie Musical “How Do You Write A Joe Schermann Song” It was on this production that we raised $50K with a very successful Kickstarter campaign to produce the film. Continuing his workload behind the camera, Daryl has worked on numerous productions from Commercial campaigns (Intel, Beats by Dre), Music Videos (Matt and Kim, B Smith), to Feature films, including “Black Dog Red Dog, produced by James Franco; “Tobacco Burn,” directed by Justin Lieberman; He also was Assistant Director on the Sloan Foundation funded Web-Series “Mammal Drama,” produced by Jefferson Moneo. Daryl is also a professional theatre, film, commercial, and TV actor, receiving his training from T. Schreiber Studio in NYC where he was also a member of the Jaradoa Theatre Company. While in NYC, he was a teaching artist for the companies “Arts For All” and “Improv For Kids”. He then went on to pursue a career in film production, earning the title of assistant director and producer of several award winning films.
