CSWIP Level II Ultrasonics – plate & pipe (expired). CSWIP Level II Radiographic Interpretation (expired). Senior Member of The Welding Institute (TWI) Fellow of the Welding Institute of Malaysia (WIM) Over 40 years’ experience within the welding industry including twenty-five years experience in welding engineering on subsea pipeline projects and offshore oil & gas construction, shut down and maintenance projects. Daryl is fully conversant with British, European and American standards governing materials, welding and NDT including Automatic Ultrasonic Systems (AUT). Daryl has extensive experience with mechanised & automatic pipeline welding systems, GTAW, SMAW, GS-FCAW, GMAW and SAW welding processes. Daryl also has 6 years hands-on experience as a multi-coded pipe welder on North Sea oil rigs, certified in GTAW & SMAW welding processes to ASME IX standard on carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, super duplex, inconel and cunifer materials. He is fully conversant with most NDT systems including radiography, manual UT, MPI, DPI & AUT. Daryl is computer literate with good written & verbal communication skills. PROJECT TYPES Subsea oil & gas pipeline construction from 1” to 52” diameter in carbon manganese steel & Corrosion Resistant Alloy (CRA) solid and clad materials. Project types include S&J lay installation, deepwater pipelines, pipe in pipe, piggy back systems and Steel Catenary Risers (SCR’s). Fabrication & installation of subsea structures & piping spools. Jacket and Topsides fabrication and installation.
