About Dasha Singh

Born and raised in the beautiful Fiji Islands, I carry with me the warmth, resilience, and collaborative spirit of my roots. While those roots remain close to my heart, I currently reside in Chennai, India, where I serve as the Teaching and Learning Lead at Shiv Nadar School Chennai—a role that allows me to continue shaping impactful learning experiences grounded in inquiry and inclusivity. Since 2012, I have dedicated myself to reimagining education through a constructivist, inquiry-based lens. My journey began in a public school classroom, where I introduced ICT tools to enrich learning. This marked a pivotal step toward my vision of creating environments where students are empowered to think critically and explore meaningfully. My commitment deepened at the International School Suva, where I embraced multiple responsibilities and honed my practice in student-centred learning. By 2016, as a Grade 3 PYP Homeroom teacher, I had fully immersed myself in the International Baccalaureate ethos, which continues to inform my approach today. In 2019, I transitioned to India to join the International Village School Chennai as a Grade 4 and 5 teacher and PYP Coordinator. Alongside a dedicated team, I helped lay the foundation for a thriving IB PYP program, catalysing a culture of inquiry and collaboration within the school community. Most recently, I completed my Master of Education with a GPA of 3.9 from the University of the People—a milestone that I hold with deep gratitude. This academic journey has further equipped me with the theoretical insight and research-driven practices needed to elevate learning outcomes and lead with purpose. It has affirmed my belief that meaningful change is possible when educators are both reflective and forward-thinking. Every relocation, every classroom, and every learner I’ve encountered has shaped the educator I am today. My personal and professional paths continue to reflect my guiding vision: Changing the Way Children Learn.
