Daud Sibtain, PhD, is currently working as a training instructor at the Energy Center of Excellence (ECoE), Harbin Electric Company Limited, China. He is playing the role of giving training to operators/students on a combined cycle power plant (CCPP) of 1180 MW, Bhikki. He is providing hands-on experience on the 9HA.01 General Electric (GE) Gas Turbine and 7HA.02 GE Gas Turbine facilities. He is an active member of the plant, working in R&D to find solutions to real-time problems and also attaining global recognition through his research work and publications. He has received two years of training certifications on CCPP and Mark VI control from GE. Moreover, he is the author/coauthor of more than 25 international research articles and a reviewer of Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, Hindawi, and Taylor & Francis. His research interests include the design of solar PV converters, IV curve tracing, renewable-based interconnected grid-control designs, hybrid electric vehicle control, electric machines, smart grids and load frequency control problems for multi-area power systems.
