As an avid natural history photographer, I understand the value of HDR, or High Dynamic Resolution. In my professional life, that interprets into an ability to strategize from a perspective, but also to master the details in both the brightest and darkest areas of an organization. Peter Drucker said,"Strategy is a commodity, execution is an art." So many worthy strategies fall short of their potential because strategists don’t know how to turn them into reality. They reveal a poor understanding of the daily, detailed, operational challenges that must be navigated, and even less of an understanding of the needs and aspirations of those who work at the granular levels of the organization. Conversely, it’s the rare employee who grasps the challenges faced by those at the highest levels of organizational responsibility.
