About Dave Belk

Though my most recent experience is in Construction Management, I spent several years in the Distribution/Logistics field with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. As I worked my way through the ranks from order selector to Warehouse Operations Mgr, I gained vast knowledge and experience of all aspects of the distribution process- I played key roles in the start-up of 4, 1M sgft+ DC's- from establishing vendor accounts/ purchasing and managing construction and layout issues to hiring and training new associates. I Moved into Super Center Operations Mgr. and aided in the start-up and shut down of multiple stores. I was then asked to join the International Store Planning Team and moved to England for almost a year helping in the conversion of the newly acquired properties. On my return to the states, I managed several new and remodel projects. I decided to leave Wal-Mart and pursue interest in Construction Mgmt in the Charlotte, NC area. Working with Project Managing, Contract Negotiations, Collections, Estimating, and overall Operations in the Metal Framing/Drywall/ Acoustical Fields.
