I am Capt. Dave Bourdages, an experienced airline industry executive with over 25 years of expertise in senior leadership roles. As a Vice-President of Transformation, VP of In-Flight Services & Customer Experience, and Senior Director of Safety, Security and Quality Assurance, I have successfully driven operational excellence, enhanced customer service, and ensured regulatory compliance within the aviation industry. With a deep understanding of strategic planning, I have led cross-functional teams in developing and implementing initiatives for achieving operational excellence. These efforts have resulted in significant cost savings and increased customer satisfaction. In my current role as Vice-President of Transformation at Air Transat, I am leading the company's transformation plan and overseeing more than 115 projects focused on process optimization and resource utilization. Throughout my career, I have consistently delivered exceptional results, notably streamlining operations at Air Transat, which led to a substantial reduction in operating expenses. I am also responsible for the company's Emergency Response plan, ensuring preparedness for emergency and catastrophic events. In previous positions, such as Vice-President of In-Flight Services and Customer Experience, I have orchestrated the planning and execution of activities within these areas, resulting in a world-class onboard customer experience and a significant increase in Net Promoter Score (NPS). I have successfully managed large, unionized workforces, implemented employee training programs, and ensured regulatory compliance. Additionally, my experience as a qualified Airbus A330 and A321 Captain provides me with a unique perspective on safety, security, and quality assurance. I have overseen aviation safety operations, conducted investigations on safety-related concerns, and implemented measures to ensure compliance with national and international standards. I hold an MBA from McGill/HEC University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation in business strategy and leadership.
