About Dave Coaty

I am an experienced Offshore Construction Surveyor with over 14 years of experience in the industry. My expertise includes Subsea Engineering, Inspection, and Surveying, and I have a wide range of certifications that demonstrate my knowledge and skills in these areas. I am also the owner of Sonar Mosaic Services, where I have been working since December 2020 developing Sonar mosaics from client provided sonar scans. I have extensive experience with various technologies such as QINSy, APOS, Underwater Acoustic Positioning, ROV and Dive Support and Positioning, DP Vessel Positioning, Sonar Surveys with Gyro-compass, DGPS systems, GPS GYRO's, Pipe-lays, Pipeline P&A (Plug and Abandon), Generating As-builts, Anchor Handling and setup, Jacket Installation/Removal and Reefing. My solid Offshore seafloor experience comes from the many sonar scans both before and after diving and seafloor operations, including the installation and removal of platform jackets and pipeline remediation and installation. Additionally, I have thorough experience with installing and commissioning of survey equipment. I have also been recognized for my work with The Boy Scouts of America with two Keys to the City of Alexandria, La. I am committed to working closely with clients to meet deadlines and coordinate with other related projects. I maintain open communication to keep clients up to date on the status of their job, to guarantee that the project is completed according to their preferences. I am always ready to learn new technologies, and continuously improve my skills to be able to perform my job efficiently and effectively.
