I’m looking for an opportunity to bring my hands-on experience in all facets of the wine industry to aid your business. I’m ready to return to a more collaborative environment where I can make use of my varied experiences. I believe my ability to multitask in a high intensity business environment will prove very beneficial. With over 20 years of experience in winemaking, grape growing, grower and winery relations, budget control, labor management, agricultural systems, pest management, winery and vineyard consulting, wine education, wine bottling logistics, compliance, warehouse and inventory management, sales and marketing and winery management brings real expertise to what you’re looking for. During my ownership of CORE winery, I went from 240 cases to cases in five years. During that time I increased sales from $65K to $750K. Primarily through direct to consumer, winery direct sales in California, national and international distribution. I was responsible for sales, marketing and management of distribution in three countries and thirty states. My main accounts of distinction are: SAQ. LCBO, province of Alberta, PLCB, Costco, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, WinEX, Albertson’s, Grocery Store Outlet, JJ Buckley, World Market and all direct sales in California. Most recently I managed direct and wholesale sales at our local college. I increased direct to consumer sales almost 300% in one year. During my year at the college I established a robust wholesale market. Highlighted by the single largest sale to Trader Joe’s. Over the last twenty years I have consulted with and grown grapes for numerous internationally recognized wineries and vineyards. My grapes have been purchased by wineries such as Sine Qua Non and other Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator favorites. I’ve consulted with and helped develop vineyards for many top wineries on the Central Coast. My own winery, CORE and Alta Mesa Vineyard combined have received more than 110 scores of 90 and above since 2003 from top wine critics.
