In a career over the last twenty five years, I have managed and been operating at senior levels in several multi million pound, supply chain, service focused, wholesale distribution & 3PL companies. My employers have been the major players in the foodservice and 3PL sectors operating nationally across all food temperature ranges and ambient supplies. My career has progressed by succeeding in turning around poor performing depots, improving supply chain processes, delivering on projects of national significance, improving customer service, reducing costs and improving productivity, whilst implementing the latest WMS and voice technology systems. Successfully carrying out “Start Up” projects, as well as working closely with and managing sales and marketing colleagues to improve business commercial performance as well as being the client facing operational representative. I have worked with customers to improve their supply profiles and carrying out reviews of their processes to offer recommendations for improvement and efficiencies. In addition I have been involved in budget setting, forecasting commercial performance, operator’s license holder, establishing tendering processes for service providers, managing staff appraisals & personal development plans which included graduate students to senior operational managers. I have established structures with succession plans to allow site and individual development, as well as attending numerous courses to continue my own self improvement. These have been achieved on both single and multiple sites when I have had responsibility for a number of operational profit centers.
