About Dave Driscoll

David M Driscoll has BS Degree in Environmental Science from UVA Wise and a MBA from Lynchburg College. He started his career with Versar Inc. in Springfield VA as an environmental specialist conducting laboratory analysis and worked on EPA RCRA sites collecting contaminated ground water and soil samples for subsequent analysis. He then worked for OMC Environmental in Washington DC as a senior industrial hygienist where he conducted indoor air quality studies, supervised asbestos abatement activities and conducted PCB studies for various federal agencies. His next career was with the Navy Research Laboratory in Washington DC where he worked as a senior safety and industrial hygiene specialist. The lab provides research and development for the US Navy and Marine Corps. Duties included the overall safety management of the laboratory campus and research activities. His next position was with the Commonwealth of VA in Madison Heights VA as a safety engineer where he provided compliance inspections and maintained a state hospital’s safety management system. He then moved on to Framatome the predecessor company for AREVA NP Inc. and was responsible for industrial safety and regulatory compliance for the nuclear fuel manufacturing facility in Lynchburg VA. He then transitioned to a product service engineer with the AREVA Nuclear Parts Center where he oversaw the design and fabrication of water filters and filtration systems for the nuclear industry. He was then appointed to the Director of Environmental Health and Safety where he led and created a robust safety culture for the company. He is now the manager of AREVA’s Access Control Program and oversees the nuclear power plant access authorization program. Over his 31 year career in the safety, industrial hygiene, environmental and compliance specialties he developed advance knowledge and leadership skills in the field of safety and environmental management. He is a board certified safety professional (CSP).
