About Dave Edwards

I'm an experienced quality engineering leader with a passion for utilizing best practices in software lifecycle and quality engineering to maximize the speed of innovation while maintaining high quality. I've had a long career in the software industry as a software engineer, architect, development manager, and VP of Engineering. My focus on delighting customers led me to feel my biggest contribution could be in the Quality function. As a manager, I enjoy building teams, driving efficient streamlined processes, helping team members develop careers, and creating competitive advantage for a the company where I work. I was given the opportunity to create and run the Demo Tape software development apprenticeship program at Pandora. After three cohorts with 100% conversation rate, and the resulting addition of a diverse group of rock star entry level engineers to the team, I've seen the benefits of this type of program to the company and to deserving candidates without CS degrees who have a hard time finding opportunities otherwise. It amplified my desire to help promote diversity, equity and inclusion wherever I go.
