About Dave Evans

I am a former Senior NCO in the British Army. Over the course of my 18 year service I saw active service and combat in many countries across the globe. My long service gave me many skills including man management and project management. I have led men into battle many times, these experiences have developed a very strong set of leadership skills and cemented a determined attitude that does not give up. Many previous roles have required me to develop and train team members. A role I particularly enjoy. I like to ensure all team training is relevant, interesting and challenging. My own personal development is also very important to me and I constantly look to bolster existing skills or add new skills to my already long list of attributes. In 2016 I was seriously injured in service and as such I have transitioned out of the British Army. My previous role was working as a transport manager in Bike Park Wales. As a keen mountain biker and aspiring racer this was a role I enjoyed greatly. I managed a fully licensed fleet of 20 PSV and was responsible for a team that delivered excellent customer service and value for money. My duties included ensuring my fleet is compliant according to DVSA regulations, oversight of the maintenance of all vehicles, training and development of my team, implementation of policies, implementation of procedures and ensuring the day to day operation of the fleet is effective. I implemented a new fleet management system and tracking software to bring the park up to date, I also actively managed the recruitment of all driver roles. I went on to work as an accounts manager on a busy recruitment desk in Bristol. This role got me out and about to meet clients and to generate new prospective business. It could be challenging at times and very rewarding. I have since left this role and am actively seeking my next management opportunity.
