About Dave Gau

I'm a Motion Artist and Applied Improv consultant, with decades of experience managing teams, creating and producing 2D and 3D animated videos, working with brand development and marketing, and leading business training and consulting with groups through communication and leadership workshops. I have launched and managed several companies, including an animation studio (still operating today since its founding in and a nonprofit, serving as Executive Director through summer of 2021. As a Motion Artist, I work independently and on teams to help bring creative visions to life. My roles over the years have included not just animator and artist, but writer, producer, web designer, editor and project manager. As an Applied Improv consultant, I use my three decades of stage and camera performance experience, along with my certification through CSz Worldwide, to help teams and leaders discover ways to continually improve and grow. I've worked not only with countless businesses in this area, but have also developed and led programs that teach skills to dementia caregivers and also for blind and vision impaired youth. In all that I do, I am passionate about bringing the power of laughter to work and create together with people in a positive and connecting approach.
