About Dave Gibson

After 40 years in the industry, I have been involved in nearly every phase of nuclear power generation. My career began with the construction of operating units at the Pickering and Bruce nuclear generating stations and led to a fulfilling career managing Ontario's nuclear waste with the Ontario Power Generation. My core skill set is the development, management, and analysis of complex project plans and their associated budgets. While I do have a knack for project planning, I believe much of my success is based on my understanding of real-world applications. Every line item in a project plan represents a task and team member who has to execute it. That awareness allows me to create, manage, and present comprehensive plans, no matter the situation. Since retiring from OPG, I have had the pleasure of applying my skills at the Nuclear Waste Management Organization. The opportunity to put my experience and abilities to use, helping to secure a long-term storage solution for Canada's nuclear waste, has been a tremendously rewarding experience. I am a strong supporter of nuclear power generation as one of the world's most promising green energy solutions and am eager to continue contributing to the present and future success of the nuclear industry.
