About Dave Gleason

As a leader, it is my goal to build a team of people who perform their jobs with a sense of responsibility and care. I truly enjoy creating a positive team environment based on trust and integrity. In my experience, challenges need to be faced with a positive outlook, a can-do attitude, and the humbleness to recognize that you will most likely learn something new. The goal should be to set the expectations and live up to them every step of the way, meanwhile challenging those around you to step up and take on the challenge alongside you. I feel it is important for each person to know that they are a key component to the success of the team. When a crew both takes pride in and enjoys the job that they do, it shows in the quality of their work. A team works best when drive and determination cause them to perform at a high level, not because they are being told to, but because they truly care about the end result, which is excellence. In both my time in the U.S. Navy and with my past employers I have enjoyed the challenge of working with a diverse group of individuals. These opportunities have taught me many things about team building and motivation. To build a strong team you need to understand the strengths and weaknesses of those around you. As a leader, it is my job to recognize the natural abilities that individuals have, find their strong suits, and then challenge and encourage them to develop those strengths and excel at the work that they do.
