David Griffin David leads the specialist Mechanical and Electrical Engineering quantity surveying team within EC Harris. He has 30 years of experience in building services, process and industrial engineering. Since joining EC Harris, David has developed a team with a strong Commercial offices, Residential and Hotels capability and has been instrumental in product development such as benchmarking to improve quality and accuracy of the service provided. He was personally involved in procurement and delivery of many commercial office high quality residential and hotel projects. David has responsibility for cost planning, optioneering, procurement of suppliers packages, value management, developing suppliers costs with the suppliers, preparation of contracts, developing single point variation costing with suppliers to eliminate waste, Cost reporting, developing stage payment systems and two stage tendering. David has a particular responsibility for renewable energy technologies and how they can be applied to city locations.
