About Dave Griffiths
Dave Griffiths is a UK artist, educator and researcher, with 20 years international experience in exhibiting and teaching in art, design and media. Currently he leads on Art postgraduate taught programmes at Manchester School of Art, Uk. Dave has delivered 3*(internationally significant) research outputs in REF2021 and 2014. His PhD investigates new approaches to artistic archiving of troubled places, including nuclear hazard sites and holocaust landscapes. Dave holds a PGCE and has taught at HEI and FE level with Manchester School of Art; Leeds Arts University; Fine Art Academy at Xiamen University China; Edge Hill University; The Manchester College; Blackburn College; and Salford University. He has exhibited in many solo/group exhibitions and contributed short films to festivals worldwide. He was nominated for the Northern Art Prize in 2012. Dave has delivered curating and consultancy roles at Castlefield Gallery and Cornerhouse, Manchester. He has been a studio holder at Rogue Manchester and Islington Mill, Salford.
