About Dave Hansung Kim

I’m Dave Hansung, after being raised in Chile for 15 years, being a Korean American growing up in Santiago, Chile has exposed me to many points of view. Having a diverse background both culturally and professionally has shaped me into a highly adaptable designer helping me see the world uniquely. Before becoming an Industrial Designer, I was in the hospitality industry. Working as a restaurant manager, sushi chef and garde manger, I learned the value of connecting with people and how to work with teams. I’m constantly trying to learn new things, I like to discover the adventure in everything. I want to dare to ask the questions that no one is asking in order to find the answers no one knew existed. To me, creativity and innovation are born in the fringe between our perceived limitations and the unknown. In order to innovate, we can’t be afraid to push our ideas to the edge and we must have the courage to see where they lead.
