I have been a Northamptonshire police officer and manager in a wide variety of roles. I have recently completed my service as a Detective Inspector in a leadership role for the Force Intelligence Bureau. I am looking for a new challenge to continue my passion for fairness and protecting the most vulnerable using my skills and experience. Experience July 1993 - July 2023 Northamptonshire Police Officer 2014 - 2023 - Detective Inspector across multiple teams including Force Intelligence Bureau, Central Intelligence Department, Crime Management Unit, Volume Crime team 2005 - 2014 - Detective Sergeant - Neighbourhood Policing, CID and Volume Crime - 2005 - Sergeant - Response, Custody 1993 - - Constable, response and Covert Surveillance Detective Inspector: Force Intelligence Bureau 2022 - 2023 • Provided leadership and direction to a team of police officers and civilian staff to gather, analyse, assess and grade information to correctly and to mitigate risk to the public • Developed and maintained core functions, processes and intelligence products to inform decision making, ensuring compliance with National Standards and investigations • Represented the Intelligence department at a local level and force wide meetings to advise on risks and identify policing priorities for the short and long term, ensuring compliance with national standards and relevant legislation. • Collaborated with peers in other forces and partner agencies to share intelligence and facilitate cross-sector working practices. • Regularly review resourcing levels and select/recruit new members of staff, remaining aware of the qualities and qualifications of all staff with a view to identifying development needs, optimum career paths, advancement potential, and a clear workforce resource plan. • Gather, manage, and analyse intelligence within policy and legislation to facilitate the achievement of crime and disorder reduction objectives and support operational policing. CID Detective Inspector • Manage a team of investigators to ensure that investigations are carried out thoroughly, expeditiously and ethically in accordance with relevant legal requirements and investigation, diversity, inclusion and partnership policies • Assess and analyse investigations to set parameters for how they should be conducted, and to ensure that crimes are referred to the correct team
