Dave Hewitt I have experience both as an employee and consultant for a number of public companies and smaller entrepreneurial organizations. As Chief Operating Officer or President I have successfully developed and executed renewal, growth and turnaround strategies for 5 different operating divisions with annual sales revenue up to $500 million. My strengths include providing hands-on leadership to organizations requiring support to turnaround a business, implementing strategies to accelerate sales and earnings growth, ISO/FDA certification process as well as business and organizational development. I have been a guest lecturer at Northwestern University, Kellogg School, University of Illinois at Chicago and Guilford College. A summary of my executive background includes: • 25 years of P&L management with a strong foundation in brand marketing and sales for top companies including Crayola, Johnson & Johnson, Matthews International, General Binding Corporation and Carson-Dellosa Publishing. In addition to experience in the North American market I have also led organizations in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific Regions. • Proven track record of growing or revitalizing businesses that have required the formulation of strong strategic plans, top line growth with new products, new markets and improved margins through “operational excellence.” Including Crayola, General Binding, Matthews, Carson-Dellosa Publishing and Absolute Imaging Solutions. • Initiation and completion of a number of acquisitions involving domestic and international companies. Led the full operational integration of three domestic and two international acquisitions. • Successful launch of new products in mass, specialty retail, and wholesaler, office product and educational channels and direct to consumer channels. • Leadership of successful manufacturing and sourcing initiatives to improve quality and lower costs. This has included Asia and Latin America manufacturing.
