Dave has been working on Intelligent Transport Systems since 1982, In this time, he has worked in all aspects of the ITS system project lifecycle: Project Management, Requirements Specification, Conceptual Design, Detailed Design, Hazard Analysis, Software Development, Hardware Design, Installation, Commissioning, Testing, Configuration, Training and Support. His recent work includes:* Development of methods for traffic data quality measurement, intelligent data fusion and patching to combine data from multiple sources including roadside sensors, point-to-point sensors (Bluetooth, ANPR, etc) and probe vehicles (GPS tracking).* Calculation and analysis of the Cost of Congestion from actual data logged by road traffic authorities.* Calculation and analysis of Causes of Congestion and associated impacts on the road network * Development of methods for profiling "normal" operation of each link of a road network * Specifications for various ITS developments, including Electronic School Zone Signs, Enhanced Variable Message Signs and Ramp Signal Controllers.* Development of a tool for Monte Carlo analysis of traffic signal priority options for public transit planning. His qualifications include: 1984 Electrical Engineer (Electronics and Communications) 1992 Software Quality Management Systems (AS3563) 2001 Graduate Certificate Civil Engineering (Transportation) 2001 Road Safety Auditor Specialties: Dave is knowledgable in all aspects of Intelligent Transport Systems.
