Managing Director & Founder of ConnectIT Software Ltd. The origins of ConnectIT Software go back to 1990, when the company was selected by the UK's largest supplier of building equipment to the construction industry, to develop and implement a fully online multi-depot scaffolding hire & sales system. Originally known as IBIS, our software was designed to manage hire + sales orders, invoicing and credit control. Another component was stock control - designed to tackle the idiosyncrasies that exist with managing composites & assemblies, length items, composite length items and bulk materials. Over time the hire + sales and stock system converged with our contractors software suite, which allowed companies delivering contract services (or even a combination of hire/sales + contract)- to benefit in using highly developed industry specific software. Twenty-five years later, the original development team are still involved with the business, closely working with our clients in delivering systems which enable their own businesses to gain operational efficiency & competitive advantage. Close contact with our customers is important to us; ensuring that we are proactive in responding to new software requirements, and that we deliver changes in a very agile way. Today ConnectIT Software supports clients in both the UK and international markets, ranging from large multi-branch enterprises to smaller single location companies. Prospective customers have the choice to implement individual modules - to support specific tactical needs (where there may already be an investment in other software - e.g. accounting), or to deploy a complete fully integrated end-to-end business system.
