About Dave Lassiter

Starting in my early teens, I was a paperboy who took a lot pride in the service I provided my customers. I wanted every home to be a customer and made sure the paper landed square on the front porch. My strong work ethic drove me to work in a variety of jobs to earn money for my hobbies, which included motorcycles, and eventually paid for 100% of my college education. I am a firm believer that you can succeed through hard work, determination, and honesty. I earned the Eagle Scout rank with the Boy Scouts of America in my late teen's which played a role in shaping the leadership qualities I possess today. My interest in a technology career was born from watching the movie "Star Wars." This led to my decision to major in engineering and enter a field after college that was at the bleeding edge of technology. Most of my jobs in my career have been with companies with great vision and impact on how technology can improve society. I thrive working in companies where the leaders and employees are passionate about making a difference with customers, partners, and people.I have been lucky through out my career to have a wide variety of leadership jobs that have given me a valuable perspective I bring to my work. My proven leadership skills come from running software development, consulting, pre-sales, and sales organizations in global, national, and regional levels. My diverse industry experiences include tenure as an executive at Lockheed Martin Corporation and as a public servant with the U. S. Department of Energy. I am assertive, goal-orientated, versatile, flexible, and collaborate well with others. My personal strengths include: being exceptionally good at solving complex problems; attention to detail; excellent communication skills; resilient; contagious optimism; interpersonal skills; customer service; building alliances; strategic leadership; and rigorous business management practices.
